On September 3, TMZ reported that Joe Jonas and his wife of four years Sophie Turner have taken the turn toward divorce. Following the outlet’s reporting, more information has come to light, including Jonas’s alleged divorce lawyer, inside information regarding the couple’s children, and photos of the singer wearing his ring once again.
Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner Allegedly Heading For Divorce
Sources reported to TMZ that Jonas was on the cusp of filing divorce documents to separate from the Game of Thrones actress on Sunday. According to them, Jonas was in contact with at least 2 Los Angeles based divorce lawyers. Amid the inside scoop regarding their divorce, sources also cited alleged “serious problems” for at least six months.
Apparently, the singer has taken care of his two children for the past three months “pretty much all of the time,” even while his band is on tour. So, Jonas allegedly has both children at the moment. It’s important to note that this may have nothing to do with the split. Turner has been spotted filming a new crime drama in her home country.
For those who may not know, Jonas and Turner first connected in 2016 through Instagram DMs. They began dating soon after their first date at a bar in the United Kingdom. In 2017, Jonas popped the question, then the couple wed for the first time in Las Vegas in May 2019. They then wed for a second time in June 2019, with the couple’s closest family and friends in attendance. Jonas and Turner welcomed their first daughter Willa in 2020, and their second daughter in 2022. At this time, their second daughter’s name has been withheld from the public.
They Sold Their Miami Home
News of the couple’s alleged divorce has become public soon after they sold their Miami home for $15 Million. The couple sold their six bedroom, nine bathroom home in early August, there was no rumor of a split at the time.
For those who may not know, the couple purchased the home together for $11 Million in 2021. Since then, they tailored the home’s aesthetic to their needs, making it a “Cali-meets-Bali vibe.”
Jonas and Turner originally listed their home in November 2022 for $17 Million, but the listing was removed in March 2023. A month later, the home was re-listed for $15.5 Million. At the time of their home’s sale, no divorce rumors were sparked. It’s important to note that the home sold close to the start of the Jonas Brothers’ The Tour, tour. Although the couple’s home sold, Turner was still seen in The Tour crowd on opening night alongside Priyanka Chopra and Danielle Jonas.

Ahead of the alleged divorce announcement, many fans noticed that the singer was spotted without his wedding band. They spotted it in multiple instances, including at a tour date, and a NYC coffee run.
Now, after Jonas’s reported divorce has become national news, the singer’s wedding band has returned. Following TMZ’s report, the singer was seen wearing his ring in an Instagram post featuring the band around a campfire. He also performed with it on at the Jonas Brothers‘ The Tour stop in Austin, Texas on Sept 3.
