America’s Got Talent is back for its 20th Season, and it’s been quite the whirlwind. Fans have been able to see multiple unique acts take the stage. After a week break, fans couldn’t be more excited to meet J-Pop group The Jet Boy Bangerz, here’s everything you need to know about them.
Meet J-Pop Group, The Jet Boy Bangerz
The Jet Boy Bangerz is a 10 person band, comprised of Yuhi Uhara, Aeron, Kota Ishikawa, Show Tanaka, Takumi Kuwahara, Hinata Sato, Taki Kojima, Nosuke, Shigetora Sato, and Aoi Nakamura. The group was formed in 2022 following LDH’s largest audition in history. Apparently, the audition was attended by 48,000 people. The group is a collective part of Exile Tribe, managed by LDH Japan Inc.
Earlier this year, the group released their first album, Jet Boy. They’ve also released two EPs, Photogenic and Masaka Nakuto wa Omowanakatta. According to the group’s website The Jet Boy Bangerz name means ”a group of noisy personalities that burns like a jet engine.”
Seven of the 10 group members are apart of the dance league D.LEAGUE. The group also contains a vocalist from the group “DEEP SQUAD.”
The Jet Boy Bangerz First Album Charted
On January 31, 2025, The Jet Boy Bangerz released their first album, Jet Boy. The album was released via Sony Music as both a CD and digital download. Soon after the album’s release, it charted as No. 3 on the Oricon Albums Chart, which is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart. Jet Boy also peaked at No. 17 on Japan Hot 100 by Billboard Japan. According to the group’s website, their album peaked at No. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking.
Ahead of this release, The Jet Boy Bangerz found success with their EP Photogenic. According to the group’s website the EP reached No. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking. The group’s singles “What Time Is It?” and “Unbreakable” charted on the Oricon Albums Chart.
It’s no secret that America’s Got Talent fans love a good J-pop group. In the past, J-Pop group Travis Japan broke the internet with their original song audition, “My Dreamy Hollywood.” The group even went on to appear in AGT spin off, AGT Fantasy League.
