Will Robert Irwin Be the Next Star of The Bachelor?
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Robert Irwin was asked about the possibility of him joining The Bachelor. He initially seemed surprised by the suggestion, but he doesn’t seem to be ruling it out of his future plans.
“The Bachelor, you reckon? Hey, I mean, never say never,” Irwin said. “Never say never! I mean, I’m looking for the perfect person. So stranger things have happened.”
When asked if he’d be comfortable with his future partner being afraid of creatures such as snakes and spiders, Irwin shared his belief that “we can get over that,” adding, “She’s got to like animals, but a little bit afraid of the snakes and spiders, that’s fine. I’m pretty good at slowly but surely convincing pretty much everyone to like animals.”
Irwin went on to say that he thinks it’s important to “find someone that your core values come together,” but it’s also “important to have someone different” from yourself. As for The Bachelor, he joked, “Watch this space. We’ll see.”

Irwin Is Looking for an ‘American Girl’
When E! News asked Irwin if he’s single, he responded, “Yeah, we are still looking for the American girl.” He added that his DWTS partner Witney Carson has “been helping.” Carson joked that potential dates “have to go through a screening process.”
“Submit your applications through my DMs, and then I will forward them to Bindi,” Carson said, referring to Irwin’s sister. “And then we will see about the American tourist.”
Irwin responded to Carson’s comments by saying he has “another protective older sister now.” When asked what he’s looking for in a partner, Irwin replied, “More than anything else, just genuine kindness.”
“I want to find that, but it’s something you kind of can’t rush,” Irwin added. “It just has to happen, and you got to be open to that. So I know she’s out there, and I look forward to it.”
