Reading Time: 2 minutes
Dancing with the Stars Season 32 returned on Tuesday night for the Semifinals, as the remaining five couples performed two dances each — one Latin, one ballroom. At the end of the night, the judges revealed that all five couples would be competing in the finale.
Perfect Scores Abound in the DWTS Semifinals
During Tuesday’s episode, four out of the five remaining couples received at least one perfect score from the judges. Xochitl Gomez and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy earned two perfect scores, giving them a combined score of 60 out of 60.
First, Xochitl and Val danced a Samba to “Samba” by Gloria Estefan. Carrie Ann Inaba called it “spectacular,” while Bruno Tonioli called Xochitl the “Samba diva.” Later in the episode, the pair danced a Waltz to “La Vie en Rose,” prompting Derek Hough to say the late Len Goodman would have loved it.
Meanwhile, Ariana Madix and her partner Pasha Pashkov earned their first perfect score of the season for their Foxtrot to “Trampoline” by Shaed & Zayn. Hough described it as “sensational.” Earlier in the episode, they earned a 28 out of 30 for their Jive to “Runaway Baby” by Bruno Mars.
Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach also earned a perfect score during the episode, for their Paso Doble to “Diablo Rojo” by Rodrigo y Gabriela. The performance prompted Inaba to hug him. Earlier in the show, the pair danced a Viennese Waltz to Jason’s song “I Won’t Give Up,” earning a score of 27 out of 30.
Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev also earned a perfect score for their Quickstep to “Boss” by Fifth Harmony, with Hough saying they “made it look easy.” Earlier in the show, they earned a 29 out of 30 for their Rumba to “Love the Way You Lie (Part III)” by Skylar Grey.

All Five Couples Will Move on to the Season Finale
At the end of the night, the judges announced which couples would move on to the Finals. The first couple announced was Alyson Hannigan and Sasha Farber. This was shocking, as they earned the lowest scores of the night, totaling 51 out of 60 for their Jive and Waltz.
It came down to Ariana and Xochitl as the final two celebrities on stage. That’s when the judges shared that both of them would be competing in the finale, with no one being eliminated this week. All five couples will move on, and their scores will carry over to the next episode.
