Why ‘DWTS’ Fans Are Shading Former Pro Dancer Lindsay Arnold

Some Dancing with the Stars fans have been shading former pro dancer Lindsay Arnold over her social media posts about the show and her sister, current pro Rylee Arnold. A recent Reddit thread criticizing Lindsay got people talking.
DWTS Are Shading Former Pro Lindsay Arnold
Some of the fans’ criticism of Lindsay seems to stem from a TikTok video she posted last week after the Season 34 premiere, scolding people for their negative comments. As Arnold said, “Y’all are mean … I literally feel sick to my stomach.”
People seemed to take issue with Lindsay saying the DWTS pros are doing “a job that literally none of you could do.” She told people who are sharing their criticism of the dances, “Let’s see you do it. You couldn’t.”
Then on Tuesday night, a fan on the DWTS subreddit posted a screenshot of Lindsay’s Instagram story, in which she showed of a clip of her young daughters watching their aunt Rylee competing. User sushi92024 wrote that they think Lindsay “needs to give Rylee some room to breathe,” expressing annoyance over her “constant posts.”

What Else Did Fans Have to Say?
A number of fans shared their agreement with the Reddit thread, with one commenter writing that they think Lindsay is “is living vicariously through” her sister. Another argued that she “needs to stop smothering” Rylee, adding, “Take a step back and let her fight her own battles.”
“I’m the youngest of my siblings so I get the protectiveness aspect of it all, but all the pros are going to be subject to criticism just as much as the contestants. It’s how everyone will learn and grow,” wrote another user.
On the other hand, one fan thought everyone was “taking this way too seriously.” Someone else commented sarcastically, “Oh no, a sister said nice things about her sister. That’s never happened in all of the universes history.”
