The BGT Christmas special is sure to be a fun and festive time, as we now have a few more details about what to expect. That includes judge David Walliams reprising his role as Queen Elizabeth II.
David posted a photo of himself dressed as the royal on Instagram. It’s not the first time David has channeled the Queen on Britain’s Got Talent. Read on to find out what he has planned.
David Walliams Dresses As The Queen For ‘BGT’ Christmas Special
According to the Mirror, David will deliver his own version of the Queen’s traditional Christmas speech. He’ll present his fellow judges with honors, and a source revealed to the publication what we can expect.

“Alesha is awarded the CBE for her services to music – in that she is retiring,” they said. “Amanda is given an OBE for her environmental efforts – as she always ensures her dresses use a quarter of the normal amount of fabric. And Ashley Banjo is made MBE for his charity work for the elderly and infirm for the way in which he has stepped in for Simon Cowell.”
David previously dressed up as Queen Elizabeth on BGT earlier this year. He was lowered onto the stage while wearing a dress and a white wig, and carrying a pocketbook. He clearly disappeared into the role.
What Else Can We Expect From The Christmas Special?
The BGT Christmas special will air on ITV at 8 pm on Christmas Day. All four of the judges will perform. Ashley Banjo will dance with Diversity, while Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden will sing.
According to the Mirror, the pre-recorded two-hour special will also feature acts from years past, including Sign Along With Us, dog trainer Ashleigh Butler, and singer Colin Thackery.

In September, it was reported that Simon Cowell wouldn’t be able to fly to the UK to appear on the special due to his back injury. However, production on the special was delayed due to COVID-19 cases among crew members.
Last month, Amanda Holden teased that Simon “may make an appearance, he may not.” Considering his colleagues have been dropping these hints for months, we won’t get our hopes up. But maybe it will turn out to be a Christmas surprise.
