Demi Lovato Injures Face Ahead of Song Release, Talk Show Appearance
Former The X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato recently shared a TikTok revealing to fans that they injured their face. This comes just before the singer is due to release a new song and appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Demi Lovato Shares Facial Injury on TikTok
On Wednesday, Lovato posted a TikTok video showing fans a cut on their head, just above one eyebrow. They set the video to the audio “They Are Gonna Know” and mouthed “f*ck” to the camera. In the caption, Lovato explained that they “hit their head on a crystal.”
The singer added that they need stitches ahead of their appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday night. They’re also gearing up to release a new song called “Substance” on Friday, ahead of their new album Holy Fvck.
Although the injury looks painful, Lovato seems to be in pretty good spirits in the video. They mostly seem frustrated that the incident happened right before scheduled press. Maybe it will give them a fun story to tell on Kimmel’s show.
Lovato Is Releasing a New Song, Album
Lovato has been promoting their new song “Substance,” set to be released this Friday, July 15. The song premiere will also come with a music video. In a preview, Lovato can be seen sporting a bob haircut while tearing up an office meeting room, jumping off a building, and walking through a sea of photographers.
The singer’s new album, Holy Fvck, is set to be released on August 19. This is their eighth album, and it will also feature the previously released single “Skin of My Teeth.” Lovato will set out on a tour starting August 30.
“The process of making this album has been the most fulfilling yet,” Lovato said in a statement. “Never have I been more sure of myself and my music, and this record speaks that for itself.”
