With Dancing with the Stars moving to Disney+ for Season 31, many fans have been wondering when they can expect the competition to premiere. An insider recently shared the date on social media, so get ready to mark your calendars.

Insider Reveals Dancing with the Stars Premiere Date

The news was shared by Kristyn Burtt. According to Heavy, she’s an entertainment reporter who frequently has insider info about dancing shows. (For example, she recently shared which DWTS pros would be choreographers on So You Think You Can Dance.)

According to Burtt, Season 31 of Dancing with the Stars will premiere on Disney+ on Monday, September 19. If you’re a talent show fan, you might have realized that this is exactly the same day The Voice Season 22 is set to premiere.

This date has yet to be confirmed by Disney+, and we don’t yet have a premiere time. However, judge Carrie Ann Inaba recently speculated that the show would air live across the country this season, finally allowing fans on the west coast to vote for their favorites while watching.

Dancers Will Reportedly Get Pay Cuts This Season

According to a sources, the show’s budget has reportedly been reduced with the move to streaming, and professional dancers could expect some pretty substantial pay cuts. This leaves things up in the air regarding which pros will be back in the ballroom.

There’s also some uncertainty about the panel and host. Judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli have confirmed that they will be returning for Season 31. However, there’s no word yet on if Len Goodman will be joining them. There’s also been speculation that Tyra Banks will not return as host, although former longtime host Tom Bergeron has said he will not be back.

With the move to a new platform, former executive producer Conrad Green will be returning to the show. Fingers crossed we find out more about the new season’s cast and format very soon.
