BIO: American Idol season seven introduced David Cook to the world. Ahead of the competition, he was a part of a high school band that released three studio and four live albums before his 2006 solo album. After winning American Idol he dropped his debut single “The Time of My Life” which went on to sell 1.4 million copies and become certified Platinum by the RIAA.
After releasing his self-titled debut album and releasing three stand alone singles, Cook left RCA and became an independent artist. He later signed to Simon Fuller’s label XIX Recordings, but shortly departed from it in 2013. In 2015, he signed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music. In his career, he’s released four albums, 3 EPs, and 17 singles. He also joined the cast of Kinky Boots on Broadway in 2018.
