Chrissy Teigen took to Instagram to tell her followers that she is “balls deep” in her IVF journey. Teigen and husband John Legend are once again trying to welcome a new bundle of joy into the world. The married couple share two kids together. Unfortunately the pair suffered a pregnancy loss at 20 weeks during the fall of 2020. Since then, Teigen has been open about her desire to have more kids.
“I wanted to let you guys know I’m balls deep in another IVF cycle to save as many eggos as I possibly can and hopefully make some strong, healthy embryos,” Teigen posted.
An image of Teigen doing pilates accompanies the post. The low impact form of exercise is great for women who are undergoing their own IVF journey. The model’s update seems to have come at a time during frustration with her fans and followers.
“I honestly don’t mind the shots,” Teigen says of the treatment. “But the bloating is a b*tch, so I humbly beg you to stop asking if I’m pregnant because while I know it’s said with excited, good intentions, it just kind of sucks to hear because I am the opposite of pregnant.”
Teigen’s post comes on the heels of recent comments about women’s pregnancy before her post. Some social media users took issue with the cookbook author’s statement without knowing the context behind her reasoning. Still, Teigen wants questioning a woman’s pregnancy status to be a thing of the past.
“Please stop asking people, anyone, if they’re pregnant. I said this in the comments and got yelled at because the internet is wild but I’d rather be the one to tell you and not some poor woman who will look you in the eyes through tears and that’s how you finally learn.”
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s IVF Journey to Expand Their Family
Celebrity friends and fans applauded Teigen’s post as she sparked a nationwide conversation on what is acceptable when it comes to how we address women’s bodies.
Teigen and Legend are ready to expand their family. The couple frequently show off their daughter Luna and son Miles on social media. After the loss their son Jack, Teigen withdrew from social media. Until recently they kept their new IVF journey under-wraps.
The Lip Sync Battle co-host made headlines when she announced that she was giving up drinking at the end of 2020. After her difficult year, living a sober life became a priority for Teigen. Earlier this year Legend mentioned that he now drinks in moderation as he continues to support his wife and their self-care.
