Cheryl Burke, More ‘DWTS’ Pros to Appear on Leah Remini’s ‘People Puzzler’
Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Cheryl Burke is trying her hand at a different kind of competition this week. She’s appearing on Leah Remini’s game show People Puzzler, along with fellow dancers Val and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Burke shared a sneak peek clip on Twitter.
Cheryl Burke, Chmerkovskiy Brothers to Appear on ‘People Puzzler’
People Puzzler‘s host Leah Remini is good friends with Burke, and was even the matron of honor at her wedding. Remini also competed on Dancing with the Stars in Season 17, placing fifth with partner Tony Dovolani.
On Tuesday, Burke shared a clip from an upcoming episode, in which she goes up against former DWTS pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his brother Val, who was paired with Olivia Jade this season. The Game Show Network show challenges contestants to complete crossword puzzles based on the ones in People magazine.
In the clip, Remini gives the contestants a “pop quiz,” asking them when her birthday is. None of them guess correctly, prompting Remini to say, “Wow, I guess my friends don’t know me as well as I thought.” Maks makes up for it by saying, “I celebrate you every day of the week.”
Pros Play for Charity on ‘People Puzzler’
Burke is competing on People Puzzler for the chance to win money for charity. Specifically, she’s playing for Jewel’s charity the Inspiring Children Foundation, which empowers kids in underserved communities. The show has a grand prize of $10,000.
Meanwhile, Maksim shared that he’s playing for the charity Childhelp, which is dedicated to preventing and treating child abuse. Val is also playing for charity, although he didn’t specify the organization in his Instagram post.
You can watch the special DWTS episode of People Puzzler on Thursday, November 18, at 6 pm ET on Game Show Network. Let us know which dancer you’re rooting for in the comments below.
