Val Chmerkovskiy Announces Possible Departure from ‘Dancing With the Stars’
Val Chmerkovskiy has wowed the audience since beginning his time on Dancing With the Stars in 2006. He’s had some of the most iconic partners and has always rocked the dance floor. After his recent elimination, he’s announced that he’s ready to move on from the series with no bad blood.
In a recent interview, the professional dancer admitted that this was probably his last season on Dancing With the Stars. He was extremely clear that his departure from the show has nothing to do with the current season, or his current partner. Instead, he noted that this is the furthest he had gone in a few years on the series.
“There’s no burned bridges, there’s nothing but gratitude, again, with the production, with the show,” Val said. “I hope I’ve served the show and this show has definitely changed my life, so it’s mutually love and we’ll see what happens in the future.”
Val did share that he wants to leave the door open to the opportunity if it were to rise again. When asked what could bring him back to the show he simply said “Life is dynamic.”
Throughout the interview he reiterated that his decision is not because of recent partner Olivia Jade. He called his celebrity partner extraordinary, wonderful, and a perfect teammate. Val expressed that he had a great time dancing with her on this season of the show. Although fans of this long running series may be upset by this news, Val has reassured that he will continue dancing.
This celebrity was notorious for getting some of the most popular celebrity partners. He’s been paired with Zendaya, Rumer Willis, Tamar Braxton, Laurie Hernandez, and more. He’s won two mirrorball trophies in his time on the show, but has gotten close to a third mirrorball on multiple occasions.
Val wants his fans to know that he will continue to dance amid his departure from Dancing With the Stars. He and his brother Maks Chmerkovskiy will remain working for their company, Dance With Me.
