America’s Got Talent finalists Chapel Hart have a new song out with their finale duet partner Darius Rucker. The track, called “Ol’ Church Hymn,” is a classic country love song that uses religious imagery as a metaphor.
Chapel Hart Releases New Song ‘Ol’ Church Hymn’
Rucker, who is known for his band Hootie & the Blowfish, sings lead on the new song, with the country trio providing backing vocals. In the lyrics, Rucker sings to someone he loves, telling them, “You soothe my soul like an ol’ church hymn.”
The singer shared on Instagram that the collaboration with Chapel Hart actually started a year ago, before the trio even appeared on AGT. Rucker posted a message conversation with the band in which he told them there was a song he wanted them to sing on. They called it a “pinch me moment.”
Chapel Hart also got to perform with Rucker during the Season 17 finale earlier this month, singing “Something to Talk About” by Bonnie Raitt. As Rucker wrote on Instagram when announcing the new song, “I can’t wait to see the huge career they’re going to have!”

The Trio Just Made Their Grand Ole Opry Debut
The new song with Rucker isn’t the only exciting thing to happen to Chapel Hart recently. Earlier this month, the trio made their debut at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. They were introduced by country singer Jeannie Seely.
The group performed their songs “Made for Me” and “American Pride” during their set at the venue, and they later held a meet and greet with fans, also featuring fellow AGT contestant Wyn Starks.
Recently, the group took the stage at the CMT Next Women of Country event, also in Nashville. On October 5, they’ll be performing a show at the Lexington Opera House in Kentucky. We can’t wait to find out what else is in store for them.
