Carrie Underwood, More ‘Idol’ Alumni to Perform at iHeartCountry Festival

American Idol winner Carrie Underwood is just one of three former contestants who will be appearing at the upcoming iHeartCountry Festival in Texas. Tickets go on sale soon for the event, which will be hosted by former Idol mentor Bobby Bones.
Carrie Underwood to Perform at iHeartCountry Festival
The 2022 iHeartCountry Festival will take place on Saturday, May 7, at the University of Texas’s Moody Center in Austin, Texas. The festival’s lineup features plenty of famous names in country music, including Carrie Underwood, who won the fourth season of American Idol.
Scotty McCreery, who won Season 10 of the show, will also be performing at the festival. Recent Dancing with the Stars competitor Jimmie Allen rounds out the Idol alums. Allen made it to Hollywood Week on the show in the same season McCreery competed.
The event will be also hosted by Bobby Bones, who served as a mentor on American Idol in recent years. (Bones will not be returning for the the upcoming 20th season.) Other performers include Thomas Rhett, Maren Morris, Zac Brown Band, Dustin Lynch, and Cody Johnson.

When Do Tickets Go on Sale for the Festival?
According to the iHeartCountry Festival website, pre-sale for Capital One cardholders starts on Tuesday, February 1, at 10 a.m. CT, and ends on Thursday, February 3, at 10 a.m. CT. Tickets will then go on sale to the public on Friday, February 4, at 12 p.m. CT.
During the pre-sale period, festival attendees can also add a Capital One Access Pass to their ticket purchase to attend a pre-show event with a performance from Thomas Rhett, as well as complimentary food and drink. Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 7.
This is the ninth annual iHeartCountry Festival. Past performers at the event have included Blake Shelton, Kelsea Ballerini, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, and Tim McGraw.
