Bruno Tonioli Reportedly Leaving Britain’s Got Talent
According to The Sun, Bruno Tonioli is set to leave his judging gig on BGT, as he is not able to juggle the commitment with his role as a panelist on Dancing with the Stars. This is due to a change in the filming schedule for the next season of BGT.
Last year, the show filmed for one week in October, and another in January. Guest judge KSI filled in for Tonioli on the panel when he was absent in October, but he was able to attend the January auditions. However, auditions for next season will reportedly be filmed over a two-week period in the fall.
“The filming schedule in 2024 meant that Bruno could get away with not being present for filming one week of auditions,” a source told the outlet. “But it would be virtually impossible for him to miss two weeks, because in the final edit, that equates to half the episodes in the new three-month run of BGT, which will air from February of 2026.”
The source made sure to add that there’s “no ill feeling about the situation,” and it’s simply a scheduling conflict. They added that the only possibility for Tonioli to appear on the new season is for Simon Cowell to “make it clear that he has to be a part of the show.”

Who Could Replace Tonioli on the Panel?
If the reports of Bruno Tonioli’s departure from BGT are true, it begs the question of who could replace him on the show’s panel in the next season. The Sun suggests that KSI, who filled in for Tonioli last season and was well-received by fans, could be in the running.
The outlet also brought up comedian Alan Carr, who was originally tipped to be replacing David Walliams on the panel in 2023. Carr is good friends with longtime BGT judge Amanda Holden, but Cowell reportedly insisted that Tonioli join the show instead.
