Blake Shelton Shares How Gwen Stefani’s Son Helped With His Proposal

The Voice coach Blake Shelton proposed to his girlfriend Gwen Stefani last year. During a recent interview, Blake shared details about the proposal, including how Gwen’s son Kingston helped.

Blake Shelton Talks About Proposal To Gwen Stefani
Access Hollywood‘s Kit Hoover pointed out that Priyanka Chopra apparently took 45 seconds to say yes to Nick Jonas’ proposal. She asked Blake Shelton how long it took Gwen Stefani to accept his offer of marriage.
Blake said the experience was “kind of a blur,” saying Gwen was “crying” after he asked her to marry him. “Gwen’s oldest son Kingston was sitting right next to us when this happened,” Blake said. “And Gwen at one moment said, ‘Wait a minute, did I answer you? Did I say yes out loud?'”

Blake said even he was wondering if Gwen actually said yes. “And Kingston said, ‘Mom, yeah, you did. I heard you say yes. You did,'” Blake recalled. “So I don’t know how long it took, but that’s how it happened.”
As for the 45 seconds it took Priyanka to say yes, Blake said that was “brutal.” Nick explained, “I eventually just had to say, ‘I’m gonna put this on your finger, and you tell me after if it’s a no. But I’m tire of waiting.'”
Nick Gives Blake Wedding Advice
Kit asked if Nick had any advice for Blake’s upcoming wedding. “I don’t anticipate Blake and Gwen having an Indian wedding,” he said, “but if you did, I’m sure it would be a lot of fun.”

Nick added, “To each his own, and to each their own. I’m sure it’ll be amazing. But Blake, do your thing, have fun.” Blake, meanwhile said he was “looking for whatever’s cheap,” so Nick suggested Las Vegas.
It’s taking longer for Blake and Gwen to plan their wedding due to the pandemic. However, they’re rumored to be holding the nuptials at Blake’s ranch in Oklahoma. Blake has also said he wants former Voice coach Adam Levine to perform.
