Arrogant Contestant Sings Her Way Out of a Fight on ‘X Factor’

The British reality television competition, X Factor is not new to crazy auditions and strange fits and tantrums by contestants in their show. Created by Simon Cowell, the show began broadcasting on September 4, 2004 and since then there have been a number of auditions just like the one of Lucy Jane.
The Audition of Lucy Jane, from Cocky to Throwing Hands
Sitting next to many talented contestants Lucy Jane was looking to go through in the 16-24 category on X Factor with her apparent singing talent.
Lucy started off by talking about her passion to sing saying, “I have been singing since I was in nappies, I have a lot of tears in my eyes now, probably since I was in my mom’s womb and you could hear me in the scan that’s how long I have been singing for.”
She sings “Starlight” in front of her judges before having to sing her way out of a fight.
“It’s quiet a difficult one with you, you sit here and you think in your minds, Will the public like you? Could I help you in this competition? Would I interested outside this competition? And it’s a no all on three counts,” said Cowell.

“Nothing about you stands out Lucy,” he adds.
To Lucy’s defence she says ” I have it right here but I just can’t get it out right now. If you get me there and I am in front of an audience I am going for it.”
After getting a no from Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne said that “You put a lot of front Lucy, you should try acting really.”

Walking out of the audition she announces that, “What a shame I didn’t get through but with a big but you will see my face again, I am going to keep going, I am going to be in a screen in the US, I am into acting and presenting and getting myself out there.”
Meanwhile we see Osbourne commenting behind the scene on how “surprised” she is on how argumentative some of these people are, especially “girls.”
Only if Osbourne knew what was happening upstairs between Lucy and a mother of another daughter who called her singing, “crap” while she was singing her lungs out to prove her wrong.
Lucy told her to “grow up”, the mother replying “Don’t you dare speak to me like that and do yourself a favor and walk yourselves out of the door before I do something that I regret.” Not too long before we see Lucy storming out of the building before anything goes wrong.
Practice obviously doesn’t make perfect. The judges were fairly kind to her but it was the mother of another contestant who ploughed into her with ruthless honesty in the foyer in a scene worthy of the Queen Vic!
