Maddie Poppe Appears on ‘The Masked Singer’ Tour
The Masked Singer Tour kicked off this weekend with host Natasha Bedingfield, aka Pepper from Season 6. During the Ohama show, Maddie Poppe was unmasked as the city’s “local celebrity guest.” The Iowa native was the first American Idol winner on ABC in 2018.
According to Reddit, Maddie performed “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks before her unmasking. The singer posted about her appearance on Instagram, calling it “such an honor” and saying it was “a fun show.” Maddie also had nice things to say about Bedingfield, whom she first met in 2019.
“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, her vocals are unmatched and she is one of the best live performers in the game,” Maddie wrote in her post. “You won’t regret seeing this one!”
Since her win on American Idol, Maddie has released an album called Whirlwind and recently put out a new single called “One That Got Away.”

Drew Lachey Was Also Unmasked in St. Louis
The Masked Singer tour kicked off Saturday in St. Louis, where Drew Lachey was unmasked as the mystery guest. It apparently runs in the family, as his brother Nick Lachey, aka Piglet, was the Season 5 winner in 2021.
The younger Lachey brother apparently performed “It’s Tricky” by Run-DMC for his tour performance. It looks like both he and Maddie Poppe both performed as a character called Boom Boom Box.
There are dates lined up in cities around the United States through July of this year. You can check the tour’s official website to find out if The Masked Singer is headed to a city near you.
