‘American Idol’ Star Benson Boone Teases His Debut EP, ‘Walk Me Home’

Former American Idol contestant Benson Boone is hyping fans up for the release of his debut EP, Walk Me Home. The 20-year-old posted a snippet of a new song on social media and shared a link to pre-save the the upcoming project.
Benson Boone Teases EP Walk Me Home
Benson recently posted a video of himself singing a track called “Let Me Go.” In the ballad, Benson sings, “The best kind of love scars deep / If it doesn’t wake you up / In a violent sweat / And steal your breath / If it doesn’t make a cut / That just won’t close / It wasn’t love / So let me go.”
Before that, Benson shared a black and white photo promoting the new EP, showing him sprawled on the floor in a denim jumpsuit. He wrote that he “couldn’t be more FREEKIN PUMPED to FINALLY RELEASE MY FIRST BODY OF WORK.”
Benson has also been teasing another song recently, called “Work of Art.” The track has appeared in several videos posted to Instagram and TikTok. He said in one video that he “just wrote the most perfect love song ever.”

Benson Dropped Out of American Idol Season 19
Benson auditioned for Season 19 of American Idol in 2021, when he was 18 years old. Judge Katy Perry predicted that he could win the season, but he dropped out of the competition. Fans noticed his absence during Hollywood Week.
The singer later signed a record deal and released the single “Ghost Town,” which was recently certified gold. He has over 3 million followers on TikTok and has recently been performing around the world, in countries such as Sweden, Norway, and the UK.
Since his time on Idol, Benson has also released two more singles, titled “Room for 2” and “In the Stars.” He hasn’t announced a release date for Walk Me Home yet, but fans can pre-save the EP now.
