Benson Boone’s “Ghost Town” Earns Gold Certification in The United States

Benson Boone recently celebrated a huge accomplishment. His debut single “Ghost Town” is officially certified gold by the The Recording Industry Association of America. While celebrating the accomplishment, Benson shared that he has five songs coming out this next month.
On June 9, Benson shared a photo to social media of his certified gold single. Within the photo gallery, Benson included photos of him posing with the photo frame, as well as others featuring his mom and band. The song was officially certified gold on June 8 after it reached 0.5 million certified units (copies).
“What a crazy experience getting this plaque😩 Ghost Town is officially Gold and it’s all because of you guys I could not be more grateful for everyone one you:)” Benson wrote on Instagram.
For those that don’t know being certified gold by the RIAA means the song has sold over 500,000 units in a country. This means that “Ghost Town” has been bought, downloaded, and streamed on demand over 500,000 times in the United States. Ahead of this award, “Ghost Town” was certified gold in Canada (selling 40,000 units) and Denmark (selling 45,000 units). This single is currently certified platinum in Norway with over 60,000 units sold.
Benson Boone has New Music, Summer Tour on The Way
At the end of Benson’s caption, he teases that there’s new music on the way for his fans. This singer currently has five songs set to release next month. Fans are hoping the songs on the rise of some of the tracks he teases on TikTok. Since the beginning of 2022, Benson has released TikTok viral hits “ROOM FOR 2” and “In The Stars.” Benson is always sharing snippets of new music to social media, so fans hope to see the familiar tunes released in the near future.
Benson has lined up three performances for the months of June and July. These performances will take place at Colours London in United Kingdom, The Mercury Lounge in New York, The Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles, California. Benson has revealed that he will announce a summer tour “soon.”
Since withdrawing from season 19 of American Idol, Benson has become extremely successful in the music industry. Even though American Idol wasn’t for him, he’s still gone on to have a successful career. In current day, he continues to work with Warner Records for each release.
