Lambert was accompanied by a group of musicians on strings as he performed the song from a raised platform in the middle of the ballroom. As he sang, pro dancers Carlos Gu and Nikita Kuzmin performed a passionate dance routine.
The singer sounded amazing as he showed off the dramatic style we’ve come to know since his time on American Idol Season 8, when he finished in second place. Fans at home also loved the dance performance from the pros.
“I would like to speak to whoever asked Nikita and Carlos to dance together for Adam Lambert’s performance… and ask them to do it again every single week,” wrote Michael Patterson on Twitter. “Best dance of the series right there.”

Lambert Recently Released the Song
Last week, Lambert released his version of the song “Mad About the Boy.” The new cover is associated with an upcoming documentary called Mad About The Boy — The Noël Coward Story. It’s set to be released next year, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the playwright’s death.
“He wrote it about a man and he was never really able to record it because that would have been too taboo for that time,” Lambert told ABC Audio of the song. “So it’s always been a torch song sung by amazing female vocalists. And when they realized, ‘It’s 2022, we’re going to put this film out,’ they came up with the idea of having a guy sing it as it was really intended.”
Later this month, Lambert is performing a Halloween-themed tour called The Witch Hunt. The tour runs from October 19 to October 30. You can buy tickets on Lambert’s website.
