American Idol Season 19 runner-up Willie Spence shared a big announcement on Instagram Monday. The singer has a live performance in Atlanta this August, and fans can buy tickets starting Friday. Spence will be performing at Atlanta Symphony Hall on Saturday, August 14. The 22-year-old recorded a video from the venue’s stage to share the exciting news.

Willie Spence to Perform Live in Atlanta

Spence shared that the show will begin at 8 p.m., with the doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets will be available starting this Friday, June 25, on Ticketmaster.

The singer recently celebrated his birthday, and marked the occasion by teasing his upcoming performance. He shared a video from Atlanta Symphony Hall, performing Rihanna’s “Diamonds.” The song has been synonymous with Spence, as he went viral for singing it and later auditioned for Idol with it.

Spence is from Douglas, Georgia. Since finishing in second place this year, he’s been performing locally. He performed for Ron Clark Academy and the organization Saving Our Daughters in Atlanta, and he also teamed up with fellow contestant Alyssa Wray to perform at a charity concert in Douglas.

As an American Idol finalist, Spence released a single called “Never Be Alone.” Hopefully he’ll perform the song during his concert in Atlanta.

What Are Other ‘Idol’ Contestants Up to?

Willie Spence isn’t the only Season 19 contestant who’s keeping busy since the competition ended. Winner Chayce Beckham, 24, recently announced that he would be touring with the band Three Doors Down on three stops this September. He also recently performed at the Whiskey Jam at Winners Bar in Nashville.

We’d love to see Spence and Beckham team up for a performance at some point down the line. Meanwhile, fans can see some other recent Idol stars performing in July in Columbia, Tennessee. Cassandra Coleman will be joined by fellow contestants Wyatt Pike, Graham DeFranco, Franklin Boone, and Christina “Redd” Daugherty.

American Idol fans clearly have plenty to look forward to from their favorite artists this year, especially as live entertainment becomes more and more available.
