Noah Thompson may have been named the American Idol Season 20 winner on Sunday night, but fans can still vote for their favorites who didn’t get the honor in this year’s Encore contest on Live with Kelly and Ryan.
‘Live’ Holds ‘American Idol’ Encore Vote
Each year, Live runs a contest giving fans a chance to vote for their favorite American Idol contestant. The winner of the contest will get to perform on the show. This year, fans can choose from eight members of the Top 10, not including winner Noah or runner-up HunterGirl.
Fans can vote for Christian Guardino, Emyrson Flora, Fritz Hager, Jay, Lady K, Leah Marlene, Mike Parker, and Nicolina. Voting is open until Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. ET. According to the fine print, the selection is subject to the winner’s availability, so if the chosen artist is unable to appear, the one with the second-most votes may be selected.
The winner of the contest will be announced on Wednesday’s episode of Live, and the chosen singer will appear on Friday’s show to perform. You can pick your favorites on the show’s website.

Last Year’s Encore Winner Was Grace Kinstler
Last year, Grace Kinstler was named the winner of Live‘s American Idol Encore. Grace came in third place during Season 19. She appeared on the show to perform her original song “Love Someone.”
Previous winners include Season 17’s third-place finisher Madison VanDenburg, and Season 18’s Julia Gargano, who didn’t make it past the Top 7. Whereas Idol viewers have voted for two male singers in a row to be winner, Live viewers seem to like female vocalists.
Will this year’s second runner-up Leah Marlene earn the vote this year, or will a dark horse emerge? We’ll find out soon. Let us know in the comments who you’re voting for.
