Alicia Keys is Getting Her Own YouTube Docuseries This Summer

Former The Voice coach Alicia Keys will be the subject of a new docuseries on YouTube this summer. The series will give fans a peek into the singer’s life and career as she records new music. Keys was a coach on The Voice for three seasons, and she won the show in Season 12 with artist Chris Blue. This year, she’s celebrating the 20th anniversary of her first album, Songs in Minor.

Alicia Keys to Star in New YouTube Docuseries

According to Deadline, the working title for Keys’ new docuseries is Noted. It’s set to premiere this summer, and will focus on the anniversary of Keys’ first album, as well as her experience in the studio recording new music for her eighth album.

Noted is reportedly a four-part series from Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s company Westbrook Media. Smith himself has his own YouTube docuseries in the works called Best Shape of My Life. It will follow the actor as he works to improve his fitness.


Keys isn’t the first recording artist to have a series on YouTube. Demi Lovato recently starred in her own docuseries titled Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil. In it, the star opened up about her 2018 drug overdose and other dark moments in her life.

What Has Keys Been Up to Recently?

Keys released her seventh album, titled Alicia, last year. She also released a memoir titled More Myself: A Journey. The singer has recently started a beauty line called Keys Soulcare. In October, she and Brandi Carlile released a song called “A Beautiful Noise,” encouraging people to vote.

Keys has also been posting clips and performances on her YouTube channel. She even shared a piano lesson for her iconic song “If I Ain’t Got You.” The song appeared on her second album, The Diary of Alicia Keys, released in 2003.


The singer has two children with her husband, music producer Swizz Beatz. Their sons are named Egypt and Genesis.
