This year’s Competition Show category also included popular talent shows The Voice, American Idol, and The Masked Singer. The rest of the nominees included The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and The Challenge.

AGT beat out all of them, and host Terry Crews accepted the award. His speech was short, but it said a lot about why people enjoy the Got Talent franchise so much.

“The height of your success is equal to the depth of your gratitude,” Terry said, “and I have to say on behalf of the brilliant crew and social and digital teams and Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, and the Simon Cowell, we thank you, and we are grateful, because we show that everybody has talent.”

‘AGT’ Winner Kodi Lee Nominated At The PCAs

Competition Show wasn’t the only category AGT was nominated for. Season 14 winner Kodi Lee was also nominated for Competition Contestant of 2019, against Masked Singer winner T-Pain.

Neither Kodi nor T-Pain won the category. That honor went to Hannah Brown of The Bachelorette. Still, it was awesome to see some of our favorite talent show contestants in the running.

If you’re ready for more AGT, you won’t have to wait long. AGT: The Champions Season 2 recently finished filming, and will premiere January 6, 2020! We can’t wait!
