‘AGT’ Winner Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. is in Rehabilitation After Basketball Injury

Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. is currently in rehabilitation after suffering a painful basketball injury. On Instagram, the America’s Got Talent season six winner has been taking fans along his journey to recovery.

Earlier in August, Murphy informed his fans that he was hurt when he was playing basketball. Such accident has apparently forced him to miss country singer Kelsea Ballerini on NBC’s Today Show. Furthermore, Murphy’s injury has unfortunately led him to celebrate his birthday in bed.
On his special day, Murphy clarified that nothing is “broke or ripped” and the incident just caused an injury to his sciatic nerve. According to the singer, he expects recovery after a couple of weeks.
Since then, Murphy has been updating fans regarding his healing. At present, the singer has already uploaded four rehabilitation videos to show fans his journey to go back to normal.
“On my own through the blessing of God I had to learn to walk again after basically being paralyzed for 2 and a half days, while being a single dad to my 6 year old son, taking him to school and football practice, also cooking ,cleaning and grocery shopping once I was able to get up on a walker…it’s taught me to continue to trust in God and myself because when it gets tough He and you are all you got….#BelieveInYourself #BelieveInGod,” he wrote in an Instagram post.
In his most recent post, the AGT winner shared the 23rd day of his rehabilitation. Seemingly, Murphy is being consistent with his rehabilitation. In his posts, the singer is obviously taking accountability regarding his progress.
Fans Wish for His Speedy Recovery
As Murphy takes his fans along the rehabilitation process, his fans are giving him words of encouragement. As seen in the comments, several fans have been cheering the season six winner up amid his challenging journey.
“Remember: don’t rush and hurry to get better. Take the time so you don’t re-injure yourself,” one follower wrote.
“I hope you heal quickly! One day at a time, you got this! Your son is so lucky, keep up the great work, you’re amazing,” another person wrote.
Meanwhile, one fan stated that Murphy must “keep pushing forward” to reach his expected results.
Amid recovery, Murphy hasn’t shared news regarding his future music shows and performances. Nonetheless, the jazz crooner is gearing up for his new hosting gig. Last July, Murphy announced on Instagram that he’ll be leading a reality show called Circus Suites.
