America’s Got TalentSeason 12 winner Darci Lynne Farmer posted a new video on Instagram featuring Glee star Darren Criss. The wonderfully weird holiday collaboration also includes Darci’s bunny friend Petunia and Criss’ very own hippopotamus friend.
Darci Lynne Farmer Collabs with Darren Criss for Christmas
“Funny seeing you here @darrencriss!” the 17-year-old ventriloquist wrote to caption the video. “How’d you know all Petunia and I wanted was a hippopotamus for Christmas?!”
The clip starts with Darci singing “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” before Petunia joins in. The camera then pans over to Darren Criss, who offers his own line from the song before turning things over to his puppet, a hippopotamus wearing a T-shirt promoting the singer’s Christmas albumA Very Darren Crissmas.
“Was so delighted to meet @itsdarcilynne & Petunia,” Criss wrote on his own Instagram post, “but was equally embarrassed that they had to meet a friend of mine… Careful what you wish for this Crissmas.”
The Ventriloquist Is Currently on Tour Around the United States
Right now, Darci Lynne is performing her charming ventriloquism act on tour around the United States. It’s called the My Lips Are Sealed (Except When They’re Not) Tour. The tour started earlier this year, with dates running all the way to next August.
This is Darci’s third tour since winning America’s Got Talent in 2017. Her first, called Darci Lynne and Friends Live, kicked off that same year. In 2019, she started the Fresh Out of the Box Tour. She also competed on AGT: The Champions in 2019 and has returned to the AGT stage several times over the years as a guest performer.
Meanwhile, Darren Criss just released his Christmas albumA Very Darren Chrissmas in October. The project features a duet with American Idol star Adam Lambert to the song “Everybody’s Waitin’ For (The Man with the Bag).” The album also includes the song “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.”
