‘AGT’ Results: Judges Forced To Choose Between Two Favorites

On Wednesday night, the first AGT semifinals results show of the season aired, as five acts moved on to the finals. Three acts moved on thanks to America’s vote, while two more were sent through in the Dunkin’ Save and Judges’ Choice.
Because only five of the eleven acts who performed on Tuesday night could move on, we had to say goodbye to some talented people. The judges were also faced with a tough decision between two of their favorite acts. Read on to find out which acts made it through, and who’s going home.
‘AGT’ Results: Who’s Going To The Finals?
During Wednesday’s AGT results show, the following acts earned enough votes to move on to the next round:
Broken Roots
Brandon Leake
Roberta Battaglia
That means that the following acts were eliminated from the competition:
Spyros Bros
Dance Town Family
Double Dragon
Thomas Day
Shaquira McGrath
Piff The Magic Dragon & David Copperfield
This former AGT contestant teamed up with the legendary magician for a funny act in which Piff tried to make the Las Vegas Statue of Liberty disappear.

Ndlovu Youth Choir
This choir, who made it to the finals last season, performed an uplifting rendition of “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher.” They filmed the performance at a nature reserve in South Africa.

‘AGT’ Results: Who Won The Dunkin’ Save And Judges’ Choice?
Three acts were in danger of elimination, with fans getting the opportunity to save one of them with their votes during the AGT results show. The acts up for the save were:
Alan Silva
Archie Williams
Malik DOPE
Voting was open for 30 minutes. At the end of the show, Terry Crews announced that Alan Silva would be moving on to the finals. After that, the judges had the opportunity to save one of the two remaining acts. They chose Archie Williams, meaning Malik DOPE was eliminated.
