The cast of America’s Got Talent has returned to the judging panel for another season of the long running series. Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Terry Crews shared photos from behind the scenes amid filming.
America’s Got Talent is filming auditions for their upcoming 17 season in Pasadena, California. Filming began on April 1 and is set to conclude on Monday, April 11. It’s clear that taping for AGT is now in full swing since each of the cast members have actively shared photos and videos on set.
Fans Are Happy to See Howie Mandel Returning to The Series
Unlike last year, NBC hadn’t confirmed the inclusion of the judges ahead of filming. Instead, fans were able to see which judges were returning via the live audience ticketing website. Fans were concerned that one or more judges wasn’t returning to the stage once the online listing changed. Days later, fans were relieved to see that the beloved cast and host returned.
Cowell and Mandel are pretty busy with other Got Talent shows on top of America’s Got Talent this season. Mandel’s other series, Canada’s Got Talent is currently premiering on Citytv, so fans were excited to see his return to the AGT panel.
“I thought you were not returning to AGT cause of your recent commitment to Canada’s Got Talent this year oh my goodness Sir Howie!! But regardless, it was great to saw you in person earlier today,” a fan commented on Mandel’s Instagram post.
AGT fans reacted similarly to Cowell’s inclusion since he recently was in a second electric bike accident at the beginning of the year. The series as a whole shared a photo of the cast together and many fans were quick to comment on the fact that Cowell is wearing a wrist brace. Cowell’s other series Britain’s Got Talent premiere this April, so Mandel won’t be the only judge travelling for live shows this summer.
Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara Share on Set Fun
It’s clear that Klum and Vergara and happy to return to the AGT panel once again. Since filming began, they have shared fun behind the scenes footage including a video of them dancing, selfies, and more. These judges always bring energy to the stage, so I’m happy to see them in good spirits for the upcoming season.
On March 31, NBC confirmed that AGT will return to it’s Tuesday timeslot on the network this summer. After months of anticipation, America’s Got Talent officially returns to NBC on Tuesday, May 31 from 8 to 10 p.m. NBC’s newest dance series Dancing With Myself is set to premiere directly after AGT.
