Sky Elements, the drone group who reached the Finals of America’s Got Talent Season 19 last year, has reportedly had their license suspended. The suspension appears to be the consequence of an accident during one of Sky Elements’ recent drone shows.

AGT Group Sky Elements Has Drone License Suspended

According to local Florida news, records show that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has suspended Sky Elements’ drone operation license. The news comes after drones fell from the sky during a show in Orlando last month, injuring a 7-year-old boy.

Another report by local news reveals that the drones were supposed to fly over Lake Eola, away from crowds. Following the Orlando incident, Sky Elements’ planned drone show in Dallas on New Year’s Eve was canceled.

Universal Orlando also grounded the drones used in its nighttime show Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular. Sky Elements was confirmed as the vendor for those drones. The Orlando World Center Marriott also canceled its holiday show by Sky Elements.

The group had reportedly been contracted by the city of Ocala in Florida to put on two years of Independence Day drone shows, for $150,000 each. The future of those shows is now uncertain.

The Group Reached the Season 19 Finals

Sky Elements competed on America’s Got Talent Season 19 last year. They earned the Golden Buzzer from judge Simon Cowell for their audition, sending them straight to the live shows. During the season, they wowed viewers with their creative drone shows.

The group received enough votes from fans to move on to the Semifinals and then the Finals. Their final show was set to the song “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman. It wasn’t enough to earn them the million-dollar prize, but they did finish the competition in third place.

Sky Elements was founded in Texas in 2020. The group holds several Guinness World Records, including most emojis formed by multirotor/drones in three minutes, as well as largest aerial display of a fictional character formed by multirotors/drones.
