Season 3 American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino has finally been able to bring her baby girl home from the hospital. Baby Keziah was born early on May 23 and spent nearly a month in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Barrino and her husband, Kendall Taylor, have been documenting their entire journey on Instagram leading up to bringing Keziah home.

Keziah’s early arrival led her to stay in the NICU to be monitored. Barrino posted a photo cradling the baby on her chest after she was born. The singer also posted a behind-the-scenes video from a photoshoot where she had contractions the entire time. Barrino was determined to take her photos even though the photographers insisted that she stop or sit down.
“Keziah was born a little too early but she is a fighter just like her Mother,” Barrino wrote on Instagram after welcoming Keziah.
To welcome them home, the couple’s front yard was decorated with a blue and pink sign that said: “Welcome home Keziah.” Barrino posted a photo of the decorations on her Instagram story and commented that it made her cry. She then posted a photo holding onto her daughter’s foot. The newborn wore a white romper and matching booties for her big homecoming. Keziah already has her own Instagram account with over 44,000 followers.
Prior to giving birth to Keziah, Barrino opened up about struggling to get pregnant. She and Kendall wed in 2015 and have always wanted to expand their family. Barrino has two children from previous relationships, Dallas Xavier, 9, and Zion Quari, 19. Kendall also has a son from a previous relationship. After taking a bunch of pregnancy tests, they finally got the news they have been dreaming of. In January, the couple watched a pink firework display to reveal the gender of the baby.
Congratulations to the couple on welcoming home their latest addition to the family!
