‘American Idol’ Winner Fantasia Barrino Has The Ultimate Gender Reveal For Baby On The Way

American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino has been on cloud nine since announcing she is expecting a child with her husband Kendall Taylor. She recently shared her epic gender reveal party with fans on Instagram and what the couple plan to name the baby.
Fantasia Barrino Had An Epic Firework Gender Reveal
On Tuesday night, Fantasia hosted an outdoor family gathering that was intimate and had a limited amount of guests to adhere to social distancing guidelines. In a series of Instagram videos, Fantasia and her guests watched a firework display with pink fireworks illuminating the sky. The couple is expecting a baby girl. The 36-year-old was excited and kept shouting after she found out what she was having.
The pair hugged each other as they watched the firework display with those closest to them. One man could be seen holding a laptop capturing the fireworks display. We assume he was doing this for family members watching on Zoom who were unable to attend. Fantasia also announced that she will be naming her daughter Keziah London Taylor.
The singer posted an adorable balloon display that was set up in her home. It features pink, white and blue balloons with a cardboard cutout of her baby girl. Clear blocks were set up on the side to spell out the word “baby.” The couple has been married for five years and only knew each other for three weeks before tying the knot.
Fantasia Previously Opened Up About Her Fertility Struggles
Fantasia is already a mother to two children from previous relationships, Dallas Xavier, 9, and Zion Quari, 19. Kendall also has a son from a previous relationship. The couple always wanted to have more children but Fantasia has been faced with fertility struggles. Doctors encouraged the couple to go through the IVF process or artificial insemination during this difficult time.
“At first we thought we were going to have to do different things like everybody was suggesting IVF because it wasn’t happening,” Fantasia said on The Tamron Hall Show. “This is a three-year journey we’ve been on. And then we went back in and I found out that one of my tubes was closed, we went back and then she says ‘Well now that one’s open the other ones closed.'” The couple actually stopped trying to have a baby for a little while.

Then, a miracle happened. Fantasia took a bunch of pregnancy tests that turned out to be positive. “I was just like, ‘Forget it,’ and then I woke up one night and when I was just like, ‘Something’s different,’ took the test, I took six tests. I was like ‘Oh, just try it,’ and sure enough, I threw the test at him I was so excited.”
Fantasia announced the pregnancy to her fans during an Instagram Live session in late November. She advised her fans to keep trying whenever they are faced with roadblocks.
