Nick Cannon has been caught in the crossfires after making anti-semitic comments on his podcast. This led to The Masked Singer host being fired from Viacom where he served as the creator and host of the hit show Wild ‘N Out. After taking to social media to apologize for his comments, Nick put out a few tweets that make it seem like he has been put in a lose-lose situation.

Nick Cannon Feels Abandoned by His Community After Viacom Firing
Nick put out two separate apologies on Facebook after making anti-Semitic comments, which saved his job hosting The Masked Singer. “I want to express my gratitude to the Rabbis, community leaders and institutions who reached out to me to help enlighten me, instead of chastising me. I want to assure my Jewish friends, new and old, that this is only the beginning of my education—I am committed to deeper connections, more profound learning and strengthening the bond between our two cultures today and every day going forward” he said in the apology. In another post, he spoke about how he had the “opportunity to converse with Rabbi Abraham Cooper director of global social action @SimonWiesenthal My first words to my brother was, I apologize for the hurt I caused the Jewish Community.”
But after putting out these apologies, it seems like Nick is facing even more backlash. “I hurt an entire community and it pained me to my core, I thought it couldn’t get any worse. Then I watched my own community turn on me and call me a sell-out for apologizing. Goodnight. Enjoy Earth.” he said in a tweet. He followed up with another tweet saying “Y’all can have this planet. I’m out!”
After putting out those tweets, people grew concerned that Nick was alluding to harming himself. Though some feel like he made mistakes with his anti-Semitic comments and others feel like he didn’t, his health and safety became a priority for fans’ concerns. “Anybody else think this tweet sounds *very* concerning?” asked one Twitter user. Another Twitter user wrote “there is purpose for your life. Nothing you are going through is surprising to God. Y’all are both ambitious & way too blessed to give in to the devil. Depression is real. Mental health is important. Stay with us.”
This comes after Nick announced that he would be doing another episode of his podcast with someone from Simon Wiesenthal Center, a “Global human rights organization confronting anti-Semitism, hate and terrorism, standing with Israel & defending the safety of Jews worldwide.”

It is not yet clear when the next episode of the podcast will be up, but Nick will definitely be discussing the comments that he made.
Nick is still slated to return as the host of season four of The Masked Singer set to air this fall.
