Britain’s Got Talent Series 19 returned on Saturday night, as the Semifinals wrapped up with one more Golden Buzzer. This time, drone act Celestial received the honor from all four judges together, while the public voted to send another act through to the finale.
Drone Act Earns BGT Group Golden Buzzer in Semifinals
During this week’s Semifinals episode of BGT, drone group Celestial returned to put on another amazing show. The judges watched the outdoor performance from inside at their desk. They could be seen reacting with awe.
The performance featured light-up drones which hovered over London, making shapes such as a rocket, an elephant, a dolphin, a pirate ship, and a racecar. At the end of the display, the drones came together to create the image of a huge winged dragon.
The judges gave Celestial a standing ovation, while the crowd chanted for the Golden Buzzer. Alesha Dixon called the performance “so epic,” saying the group outdid themselves after their impressive audition. Simon Cowell called it “one of the best I’ve ever seen.”
The judges then revealed that they had already decided to press the group Golden Buzzer for Celestial. They even put their hands together to press it together. Celestial will now go straight through to the Series 19 finale.
At the end of this week’s new BGT Semifinals episode, three acts were announced as having received the most votes from the public for their performances: singer James Miller, magician Jake Banfield, and singing group the Hawkstone Farmers Choir.
Ultimately, the Hawkstone Farms Choir earned the most votes from viewers, meaning they’ll be competing in the Series 19 finale. During this week’s show, the choir returned to the stage to perform a stirring rendition of “Pompeii” by Bastille.
In their audition, the choir earned the Golden Buzzer from judge Amanda Holden. This performance wowed the judges, with KSI telling the group, “I felt every single word that you guys sang.” Cowell called them “one of the favorites to win.”
The BGT Series 19 finale will air next Saturday night, as a winner is crowned. What do you think of the results from this week’s Semifinals episode? Let us know in the comments below.
