Sofia Vergara, Joe Manganiello Reportedly Split Due to Their ‘Different Attitudes’

On Monday, America’s Got Talent judge Sofia Vergara and her husband Joe Manganiello announced that they’re divorcing after seven years of marriage. New details have since emerged about what might have led to the couple’s split.
Why Did Sofia Vergara, Joe Manganiello Decide to Divorce?
Sources told the Daily Mail that Vergara and Manganiello decided to separate after the “true versions of themselves started showing.” Their “different attitudes” apparently caused them to drift apart.
A source described Manganiello as a “big kid” who “chases fun.” This quality was “immediately an attraction for Sofia who is completely the opposite” and “more concerned with the finer things in life, the trips, lavish dinners, being a celebrity, and everything that comes with all of that.”
The source went on to say that more negative differences ended up coming to light, claiming that Vergara “has a temper and gets upset over stupid things very easily whereas Joe tries to let things bounce off of him and go with the flow.”
“‘That was not really seen while they were falling in love, but then the true versions of themselves started showing and they just got annoyed with each other, choosing work over hanging out,” the source continued. “It added up to where now it is easier and more relaxing not being together. When people say they will be friendly, they will, but the romance part of things is over.”

The Couple Has Asked for Privacy
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the couple told Page Six in a statement on Monday. “As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
A source told Entertainment Tonight that Vergara and Manganiello “have been spending time apart and focusing on themselves, their careers, and their loved ones.”
Fans became suspicious that something could be wrong in the couple’s relationship when Manganiello posted a birthday message for Vergara on Instagram earlier this month, writing simply, “”¡¡¡Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!”
