Sofia Vergara, Joe Manganiello Announce They’re Divorcing

America’s Got Talent judge Sofia Vergara and her husband, actor Joe Manganiello, have decided to separate after seven years of marriage. The couple announced on Monday that they’re planning to get a divorce.

“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the couple told Page Six in a statement. “As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
The outlet reports that Vergara has recently been on vacation with friends in Italy celebrating her 51st birthday, and she hasn’t be wearing her wedding ring. A source said that the two actors “have been growing apart for a while now and are taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future.”
Fans recently became suspicious that things were going wrong after Manganiello didn’t appear in any of Vergara’s photos from her trip. Manganiello also posted a birthday message to Vergara earlier this month that simply read “Happy Birthday Sofia” in Spanish.

The Couple Tied the Knot in 2015
Vergara and Manganiello first met at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in 2014, when Vergara was engaged to Nick Loeb. They tied the knot in Palm Beach in November 2015, in a wedding with 400 guests.
A source told Page Six that Vergara’s friends were “explaining away Joe’s absence with the excuse that he was busy filming back on the East Coast.” The couple was last seen together last month in Hoboken, New Jersey, when Vergara visited Manganiello on the set of his new movie Nonnas.
However, after the SAG-AFTRA strike began last week, Manganiello “could have been on the first flight… and he quite clearly is not.” The source said that “no one out there with her is even attempting to pretend that it’s not over.”
