Contestants on the new dance show will be isolated in pods as they learn routines for each challenge, adding their own twist to the dances designed by a set of celebrity creators. The creators and audience will then decide who should move on and receive the cash prize.
It was announced earlier this month that former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal and actress Liza Koshy would be joining the show as dance creators, alongside Shakira, with former NFL cheerleader Camille Kostek as the host. Now O’Neal has exited the show, and Jonas has been added to the panel.
Over the weekend, Jonas posted a new photo to Instagram showing off a cool outfit. He captioned the shot, “Day 1.” Jonas added a film camera emoji, seeming to suggest that he was on set of the new show.

The Show Is Reportedly Facing Technical Difficulties
Deadline reports that production on the new show had to be delayed by a few days due to technical difficulties during rehearsals. The stage design for the show reportedly faced issues that forced them to push things back.
Shakira, who is also a former The Voice coach, also executive-produces the show, which is inspired by the trend of social media dances on platforms such as TikTok. A premiere date hasn’t been set for the show, which will air on NBC.
We were excited to see O’Neal create some fun dances, but we’re looking forward to seeing what Jonas comes up with. O’Neal hasn’t commented on why he left the show, but he did retweet an article announcing that Jonas was replacing him.
