Girl Named Tom Met ‘The Voice’ Winner Cam Anthony By Chance After the Knockouts

You know how some people say that the world gives them signs? This is one that Girl Named Tom should have taken seriously. On their way home from the knockout rounds, they sat in the same row as season 20 winner, Cam Anthony.
Girl Named Tom made history on Tuesday night as the first group to ever win The Voice. On top of that, they also became the first act in 21 seasons to have 4 songs in the itunes Top 10 at the same time. This sibling trio was a clear frontrunner since the beginning of the competition, so many are not surprised they won. Since winning the show they have gone on to release their first single with Republic Records.

Girl Named Tom shocked all of their fans today when they shared a photo with last season’s winner of The Voice. In the caption of the photo they shared that they happened to be in the same row on the airplane as The Voice winner. They began their Instagram post sharing that winning the series was actually the second time they had held the trophy.
“At the time, we didn’t dare think.. ‘could it be a sign?’ But now?!?!” Girl Named Tom wrote. “It was so surreal to talk with Cam about the whole Voice process. Cam even let us hold his trophy that he casually had in his carry-on.”
What really gets me is the fact that they stayed humble in the competition after meeting Cam. Personally, I would’ve thought of it as a sign! To put this into perspective, the blind auditions, battle rounds, and knockout rounds are pre recorded. The show hadn’t even aired when they became friends with him.
“Cam is a humble, inspiring artist and we are grateful to now call him friend. Lots of love,” Girl Named Tom wrote.
This Instagram carousel is probably one of the cutest I’ve seen this week. It begins with the four singers taking a group photo then goes on to a photo of the group mimicking the photo themselves as if Cam were there. If you didn’t believe this happened by chance, the last video is the group sitting in a row with Cam on a plane.
On top of sharing this Instagram caruseol the group shared the post to their Instagram story. On the Instagram story they wrote: “one of the more instante things to happen in our lives !!!”
