"The Voice" Season 30 coaches

The Voice Season 30 returned on Monday night for another round of Blind Auditions. During the show, two more artists received four-chair turns from the show’s panel of coaches. Blind Auditions will officially wrap up during Tuesday’s show.

The Voice Continues with More Four-Chair Turns

The first artist to receive a four-chair turn from the Voice coaches on Monday night was Nina Howland, who performed “Love Me Like a Man” by Bonnie Raitt. Coach Kelly Clarkson shared her love for the song, saying she frequently sings it in the shower.

Nina, who lives in New York and performs musical theater, chose to join Clarkson’s team after all the coaches made their pitches. She shared that she admires Clarkson and was aware of how much the coach loved her song choice before auditioning.

Later in the episode, a singer named Kayleigh Matthews took the stage to perform “When I Call Your Name” by Vince Gill. She also turned four chairs, with coach Adam Levine saying she has “such a magnificent talent” and Queen Latifah telling her she “took me to church.”

Riley Green resorted to some childish antics to distract Kayleigh from Levine, but it didn’t matter in the end, because the singer said she wasn’t even considering the guys. She ultimately chose to join Queen Latifah’s team.

Coaches Take a Long Time to Make Their Decisions

Sometimes it takes quite a long time for the Voice coaches to decide whether or not they want to turn around for an artist during a Blind Audition. This happened to Dakota Cohen, who performed “Changes” by Black Sabbath during Monday night’s new episode.

At first, it seemed like Dakota might not get any chair turns, but Adam Levine and Riley Green ended up pushing their buttons toward the end of the song. After Levine compared her to Miley Cyrus, Dakota chose to join his team.

Later in the episode, singer Luke Cope took the stage to perform an emotional rendition of “Burning House” by Cam. Both Adam Levine and Queen Latifah turned around for Luke toward the end of the song. He ultimately chose to join Team Queen.

Rejected Artist Returns Over 10 Years Later

Monday’s new episode of The Voice also featured a Blind Audition from Brandon Diaz, who previously auditioned for the show in Season 4, when he was a teenager. He went on to marry Jackie Foster, who competed on the show in Season 14 on both Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine’s teams.

For his Season 30 audition, Brandon performed “Drink You Away” by Justin Timberlake. Both Kelly Clarkson and Queen Latifah turned around, with Clarkson telling Brandon, “You can sing your behind off, sir.” He ultimately chose to join Team Queen, as she turned around for him first.

Other notable Blind Auditions from Monday’s show included Marilyn Hucek, who sang completely in Spanish on a cover of “La Tortura” by Shakira and joined Team Adam; Luke Curran, who joined Team Adam after performing “Operator (That’s No the Way it Feels)” by Jim Croce; and Brandy Neelly, whose cover of “Lesson in Leavin'” by Jo Dee Messina earned her a spot on Team Riley.
