Twin Contortionists Are In Perfect Sync On ‘Australia’s Got Talent’

The Rybka Twins wowed Australia’s Got Talent in 2013. The contortionists were so in sync, the judges actually said they were too perfect after their semifinals performance.

Rybka Twins Perform On ‘Australia’s Got Talent’
Before their semifinals performance, judge Dawn French called the Rybka Twins “half human, half snake.” Timomatic said they were a “mirror image” of each other, and “even their blinking was in time.”
The sisters acknowledged that some of their tricks are dangerous, saying, “One wrong move could be fatal.” However, that didn’t stop them from putting on a show-stopping routine for the Australia’s Got Talent audience.

The twins performed handstands, flips, and various contortions to the tune of Lady Gaga. At one point, they flipped off the platform they were standing on and then placed top hats on their heads using their feet.
All of their moves were incredibly synchronized, and had the Got Talent audience cheering. Much of the crowd gave them a standing ovation when the performance was over.
What Did The Judges Think Of The Act?
Judge Kyle Sandilands complimented the sisters’ performance, but said he was waiting for something really amazing at the end that just didn’t happen. Still, he called it “extremely skillful.”

Dawn called them “mesmerizing.” She said she could see how much work they put into their routine. Timomatic, meanwhile, said, “Your flawlessness is your best thing, but it might be your worst thing as well.” He said he wasn’t sure if Australia would “relate” to them.
Can an act be too perfect? Because it sounds like that’s what the judges were trying to say. The Rybka Twins didn’t end up winning Australia’s Got Talent, but they’re still performing.
