Singer Lindsay Joan turned two coaches’ chairs during Season 20 of The Voice, but one of the remaining coaches regretted the decision not to turn.

Lindsay’s performance of “Nightmare” by Halsey made Nick Jonas and Blake Shelton turn around. Kelly Clarkson, meanwhile, said she didn’t know why she didn’t turn for Lindsay, calling herself an idiot.

‘The Voice’ Contacted Her About Auditioning

As Lindsay explains on her website, The Voice casting contacted her in April of 2020. She spent months sending in video auditions and participating in interviews, until she got the call in August that she would be auditioning in front of the coaches.

Lindsay and her mom took a road trip from their hometown of San Diego to Los Angeles for the audition. Nearly a year after that initial contact, Lindsay’s performance finally aired.

Lindsay Has Two Adorable Dogs

Lindsay has a TikTok account where she posts singing performances, and also shares cute moments from her dogs Doug and Phoebe. As Lindsay explained in a video, she named her dog Phoebe after Lisa Kudrow’s character Phoebe Buffay from Friends.
