Nandi Bushell is only 10 years old, but if you listen to her music, you would probably think she has had decades of experience. The pint-size rockstar has actually just challenged Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl to a drum battle. Check out her incredible video below.
Nandi Bushell Challenged Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl To A Drum Battle
In this video, Nandi not only slayed on the drums but takes on the electric guitar and sings as well. Her original song called “Rock and Grohl” has been a hit with her 197,000 subscribers on YouTube. She professionally recorded the song and said “Being in the studio was one of the best experiences of my life. I loved it!”
For the past few months, Nandi and Dave have been going back and forth playing songs and challenging each other. She previously kicked off the battle performing the Foo Fighters’ song “Everlong” which Dave saw and responded with his own cover of “Dead End Friends.” These fun interactions have been giving a lot of people hope and something to look forward to during such a chaotic time in the world. We have to say that we definitely think Nandi won this round.
Previously, Dave wrote a song about Nandi which she called “the best song EVER, in the WORLD, EVER!!!” and she was absolutely full of excitement watching Dave’s video. She posted her adorable reaction and it became clear that her passion for music is unmatched by any other.
Nandi Has Garnered Praise From Other Celebrities Too
This is definitely not the first time that Nandi’s incredible musical talents have gotten her noticed by a big name in the music industry. In 2019 at the age of nine years old, Nandi got to jam with rocker Lenny Kravitz at the O2 Arena in London.
She has also gifted a guitar from musician Tom Morello which was an awesome surprise for the budding rockstar. She then covered some of the songs from his band Audioslave. “Dear Tom Morello, thank you so so so much! I can’t believe this is real and you actually sent me a message and your signature guitar, it is so beautiful! AMAZING! I hope we get to jam one day! Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!!!!!” she wrote on YouTube.
Nandi just posted an epic drum cover of “Fix You” by Coldplay with some super cool glow in the dark drumsticks. “I hope this will bring a #smile to your face today. We always have #music!” she wrote on Instagram. She has amassed a whopping 759,000 Instagram followers.
