Former One Direction member Zayn Malik is no longer embarking on an American tour in 2026. This comes after the singer was hospitalized last month from an undisclosed medical condition.

Zayn Malik Cancels U.S. Tour

On Friday, May 1, 2026, Malik announced the decision to cancel a portion of his KONNAKOL tour. He began his Instagram story statement out thanking fans for the love and support they’ve shown for his album release, as well as their “love, prayers, and well wishes for my health.”

He also updated fans saying that he’s been recovering since his previous hospitalization. He wrote “I’m doing well and will be better and stronger than before.”

Even though the singer is doing better now, he’s made the decision to reduce the number of shows on his tour.

“I want to make sure I still get out and see as many of you as I possibly can. I’m really looking forward to playing these shows for you, and I hope to see the rest of you around the world very soon. Big Love, Z,” he wrote.

The Singer was Hospitalized Last Month

In April, Malik canceled his planned press appearances (including The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show) due to an undisclosed medical condition. When it happened, the singer shared a photo of him in a hospital bed, with IV’s attached to his body.

“Thank you to all of you for your love & support now & always- been a long week and am still unexpectedly recovering,” the singer captioned the post. “Heartbroken that I can’t see you all this week, I wouldn’t be in the place I am today without you guys and am so thankful for your understanding. Thank you to the incredible hospital staff of Drs, nurses, cardiologist, management, admin and everyone who has helped along the way and continue to. You are all legends! Big big love xx z.”

According to the singer’s website, various international tour dates are still set. The tour is set to kick off later this month in London. He will then make stops in Mexico, Chile, Argentina and Brazil. His final performance will be in Peru.

Malik is also expected to be seen in a new Netflix U.S. road trip documentary series with former bandmate Louis Tomlinson. The release date of this project has yet to be revealed.
