‘X Factor’ Singer Has Dramatic $27K Makeover After Being Compared To Famous Comedian

Liam Halewood appeared on The X Factor UK in 2015. Previously a drag queen, Liam helped give a little makeover to ‘Xtra Factor’ host Melvin Odoom. After his television appearance, Liam went through quite a drastic makeover of his own.
‘X Factor’ Liam Halewood Was Tired Of People Comparing Him To Alan Carr
When Liam appeared on The X Factor UK, people continued to point out that he resembles comedian Alan Carr. Alan is well-known for his thick brimmed glasses and large teeth. Liam was simply fed up with the comparisons and decided to undergo a transformation of his own. He was featured on an episode of E4’s Bodyfixers after being mistaken for the comedian by fans whenever he stepped out of his house. The pair posed for a picture together that Liam posted on Instagram.
During the episode of Bodyfixers, his new makeover included changing his hair color and ditching his glasses. But Liam wanted more and went ahead and got plastic surgery. “I’ve had a hair replacement, cheek fillers, chin fillers, botox, you name it. And I love my face now” he said back in 2018.
Liam then went on to spend £20,000 on several cosmetic procedures to change his appearance. This is roughly $27,000. He has had Botox, fillers in his face and lips, non-surgical jaw alignment and hair transplants. He also had eyebrow shaping with regular facials and skin peels.

He Regretted Spending Thousands On Cosmetic Procedures
Liam opened up about how life was not actually all glitz and glamour for him. “At first I used looking like Alan Carr to my advantage, but after a while, I just wanted to be known for being me,” he said in an interview with Manchester Evening News in 2019. “I decided that I’d need to do something drastic to get my big break so I changed my whole look and my face despite my family begging me not to.”
“On the outside people thought I was happy and had loads of money but unfortunately it wasn’t the case” he said. “I was in debt, I became depressed, I was going through a divorce, I lost everything to chase my dream.”
“It wasn’t just the botox and fillers that cost a lot – I spent thousands on hotels so I could go to all the best parties and mingle with the right people, and didn’t think twice about the £10 drinks I was buying everyone.” He also appeared on Extreme Diet Hotel where he lost four stone, which is over 50 pounds.
“Showbusiness is not all it’s cracked up to be. There’s barely a one in a million chance that you’ll make it in television, and it’s not as well paid as you might think” he continued. “I’m beginning to believe that could be because they think younger people can be more manipulated into doing what shows want them to do.” He has continuously warned those who are eyeing a reality television career to think again.
Where Is Liam Halewood Now?
Liam has been embracing more of a natural look these days. He has continued his career as a Boy George tribute artist. In 2019, OnlyFans announced that Liam was joining the platform.
