Who Is Grace Kinstler On ‘American Idol’?
Grace Kinstler is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter from the Chicago area. She’s currently studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. In 2016, Grace won first place in the “Musical Theatre High School” category of a national vocal competition.
She’s also appeared in several musicals, including a production of Big Fish. She even tried out for The Voice when she was younger. Here’s hoping she has more luck on American Idol.

The young singer has released several EPs, most recently one called Lavender in 2019. She also has a YouTube channel and a TikTok account, where she posts videos of herself performing covers of popular songs.
Grace’s boyfriend, Joseph Wheatley, is also involved in music. He’s a beatboxer, and has collaborated with Grace for performances. Last year, they teamed up for a performance of “Scars” by Sam Smith.
