Who is ‘DWTS’ Celebrity Mauricio Umansky?

After successfully proving himself in the world of real estate, Mauricio Umansky is more than ready to step out of his comfort zone and present himself in a completely different realm – the ballroom. The business personality has been confirmed as part of the celebrity cast of Dancing With The Stars season 32.

Umansky is the Founder and CEO of The Agency, a billion-dollar brokerage that helps agents and clients in reaching their real estate goals. Achieving nearly $5 billion in real estate sales, he has cemented himself as one of the renowned business personalities worldwide.
In an impressive record, Umansky has represented some of the world’s most illustrious properties. These include the Playboy Mansion, the first house in L.A. to sell above the $100M mark, Walt Disney Estate, and residences owned by Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan and Prince.
While Umansky is renowned for being a businessman, he’s also recognized for appearing on Buying Beverly Hills. Now, Umansky wants to expand his entertainment portfolio, taking the challenge to learn competitive dancing through Dancing With The Stars.
“I’m a Latin guy,” he said. “I have that, you know, dancing blood in my body but I’ve never learned how to dance properly. I just listen to music and I start dancing… but I’ve never learned how to dance properly and now this is so exciting outside my comfort zone, something I’ve never ever done and I’m really excited to be doing this.”
Season 32 will see the real estate broker test his ballroom prowess alongside pro Emma Slater. On Instagram, the English choreographer has enthusiastically welcomed him as her newest dancing partner.
His Wife, Children are Excited to Support Him on DWTS Season 32
Umansky’s family affair has also not been kept absolutely private because of their high-profile status. Of his family’s support, he stated that his wife Kyle Richards and their daughters are very much thrilled to watch him dance.
“They were so excited,” he said. “My girls, my wife, everybody is gonna be there [to see me dance]. And we’re gonna have a ton of fun.”
News regarding Umansky’s participation on DWTS season 32 came months after his separation from Richards was confirmed. In July, a source claimed that the duo had been “separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof.” Furthermore, they claimed that Umansky and Richards remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.”
Nonetheless, the two later addressed the breakup rumors, saying that “any claims regarding divorcing are untrue.” The couple, however, admitted that they have had a rough year.
