‘DWTS’ Pro Emma Slater Shares Process of Freezing Her Eggs

Emma Slater has officially decided to preserve her fertility through egg-freezing. The Dancing With The Stars pro recently got candid on Instagram and shared her thoughts about her starting journey.
Emma Slater Reveals Decision to Freeze Eggs
In a recent Instagram post, Slater took the time to share some details about her egg-freezing process. The professional dancer first praised her nurses and doctors for being “so comforting.” She went on and stated her reason for undergoing the procedure.
“I’m very grateful that this process is available for people, whatever the individual reason may be. For me, it’s about taking control of my future and preserving my options,” she wrote.
According to Slater, she’s opening up about her journey believing that many people have several questions. As the dancing pro is all about supporting girls, she emphasized the importance of respecting a women’s choice.
“I really love to support women as much as I can, whatever your reasoning and choices are for freezing your eggs, I respect them. I’m grateful to those who respect mine too, it does take a lot of thought, courage and consideration but ultimately this is giving me peace of mind,” she wrote.
Slater concluded her post by telling her fans she’ll be sharing some egg-freezing Stories in the following days. The DWTS pro stated she’ll do an Instagram live with her fertility nurse.
Her Divorce from Sasha Farber was “About Kids”
In one episode of Viall Files podcast, Slater talked about her divorce from fellow DWTS pro Sasha Farber. Apparently, the reasons for their split involved their different perspective in having kids.
“I do want kids. I don’t know what it is, I’m just figuring that out for myself. It’s not something I take lightly and I don’t want to enter into something that I’m not sure about because I would never do that,” she said.
According to Slater, they were “at potentially two different places.” Despite so, their love for each other didn’t go away, making it more painful for the two of them.
“It had nothing to do with him. He’s always been very much himself. It’s me that’s found it difficult to understand why I’m feeling different,” she said.
After years of dating, Slater and Farber tied the knot in 2018 but eventually separated in April 2022. The two, however, reportedly ended their relationship with “no bad blood” between them.
