The Masked Singer is set to return for Season 13 next month, and the show has already teased some of the new costumes. We now have confirmation of several contestants’ aliases as we head into the new competition.
The Masked Singer Season 13 Costumes We Know So Far
As of this writing, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed nine new costumes for Season 13 of the show. FOX revealed the contestants as images on playing cards, in keeping with this season’s “Lucky 13” theme. EW speculates that they might be grouped according to suits (Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, and Spades).
The confirmed contestants include Paparazzo (whose head is a camera), Honey Pot (who’s surrounded by bees), Ant (who’s dressed in a picnic-blanket-esque gingham dress), Coral (whose costume includes several fish), Fuzzy Peas (who has three faces), Space Ranger (who looks like a cowboy alien), Cherry Blossom (who’s pretty in pink), Griffin (who looks like a gladiator), and Bat (who’s adorably goth).
Hopefully the rest of the costumes will be confirmed soon. Promos for the new season have also teased what looks like the Loch Ness Monster, a blueberry muffin, and a stylish-looking dog. We can’t wait to find out their official names as Season 13 gets closer.
Season 13 of The Masked Singer is set to premiere on FOX on Wednesday, February 12, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Host Nick Cannon will be back, along with judges Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora. This season will also feature a recurring character named Lucky Duck.
Lucky Duck will be unmasked at the end of the season, and EW reports that “there could be a very special connection to someone on the show.” This sounds similar to Season 5’s Cluedle-Doo, who turned out to be McCarthy’s husband Donnie Wahlberg.
