During Wednesday night’s new episode of The Masked Singer Season 14, Pangolin was unmasked as “Fight Song” singer Rachel Platten. After her unmasking, Platten took to Instagram to share what appearing on the show meant to her.
Wednesday’s new episode of The Masked Singer marked the Season 14 Semifinals, as the remaining five contestants performed. During the show, Pangolin sang “It Must Have Been Love” by Roxette. She was ultimately eliminated from the competition and unmasked as Rachel Platten.
After her unmasking, Platten performed her iconic track “Fight Song” for the panel and audience. The 44-year-old singer shared a video of that performance on her Instagram account after the show, writing in the caption, “Hi, it’s me… Pangolin!”
“There was something so freeing about hiding behind a mask and still being fully seen,” Platten wrote of her experience on the show. “I got to reconnect with the part of me that just sings from the heart, no pressure, just feeling.”
She went on to thank her fans “for every guess, every cheer, every bit of love,” adding, “I carried it with me on that stage.”

Who’s Going to the Season 14 Finale?
Wednesday’s Semifinals episode of The Masked Singer Season 14 determined which contestants will be competing in next week’s finale episode. After Pangolin’s elimination, the four finalists will be Galaxy Girl, Crane, Pugcasso, and Cat Witch.
Viewers at home already knows the identity of one finalist, as Cat Witch was revealed to be actress and singer Kylie Cantrall at the start of the season. The panelists were unaware of her identity during filming, but Rita Ora correctly guessed that Cantrall was under the mask during the most recent episode.
