Ronan Parke almost won Britain’s Got Talentin 2011, but where is he now? Find out where he is in 2026, all about his queer journey, and more. Here’s where he is in 2026.
Ronan Parke’s Journey on BGT
Ronan Parke first took the Britain’s Got Talent stage in 2011 singing “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone. The judging panel, Michael McIntyre, David Hasselhoff, and Amanda Holden, loved this performance. One of the judges even joked about how Ronan shouldn’t have to go back to school!
The singer continued on in the competition, but his journey was met with backlash. Before his semifinal performance, he was accused of being an industry plant. At the time, an anonymous person who identified as an executive at Simon Cowell’s record company, Syco, published a blog. This person claimed to be an insider source that said the competition was fixed for Ronan to win the show. Additionally, rumors suggested that Ronan was already signed with Syco and had been grooming him for two years.
Syco removed the blog and denied the rumors. Simon Cowell even acknowledged the rumors, stating they were “unfounded” and the blog “had been created as a form of online bullying.”
Ronan then continued on in the competition, singing “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele in the semifinals, and “Because of You” by Kelly Clarkson in the Final. Ultimately, Ronan finished in second place behind Jai McDowall.
Where is the BGT Runner Up in 2026?
Following BGT, Parke released his debut album, which peaked at number 22 on the official albums chart. A few years later, he played the main role in a theater production of Aladdin. In 2018, he released his second album “Found My Way.”
The following year, Ronan came out as gay during an interview with Attitude Magazine. Within this interview, he revealed he had been openly gay since he was seven years old, but was encouraged to act closeted on BGT.
In 2020, Ronan shared a ‘Get to Know Me’ video where he opened up about never having a boyfriend before. At the time, he also said that he didn’t see himself as a “relationship type.”
In current day, Ronan is mainly active on Instagram. It seems like he may have a boyfriend now, but it doesn’t seem like his boyfriend is a public figure of any kind. All in all, it seems as if Ronan is a normal guy living a normal life in 2026.
